Mid-Kansas ENT Introduces Cochlear Implant Program

Mid-Kansas ENT has implemented a Cochlear Implant Program as a treatment option for moderate to profound hearing loss. A cochlear implant (CI) is a small, surgically implanted device that helps people with hearing loss perceive sound and improves their speech understanding.

“Individuals who are not receiving adequate benefit from traditional hearing aid amplification may benefit from this technology as it can help patients perceive speech understanding, especially when background noise is present,” said Dr. Casey Combs.
