Deanene Tonn, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who sees patients of all ages in all aspects of ENT care. She treats patients at the east clinic in Wichita and in Newton. Deanene’s love of medicine began as a young child and grew as she began helping her mother administer home hemodialysis for her father. The experience kindled in her a desire to help those with chronic illness live their best lives, inspiring her to pursue a career in healthcare. Deanene attended Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Life Science and then went to Wichita State to become a PA. Deanene has worked as a PA since 1998, including five years in cardiology, eight years in electrophysiology, and a decade in infectious disease. She views ongoing education as the key to providing the best and cutting edge care for patients. She also believes education is fundamental to helping patients manage their chronic conditions and reduce fears.
When she’s not serving patients, Deanene enjoys spending time with her husband, her two teenagers, her friends, her extended family, and her little dog too. She also enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, swimming, playing piano, competing in her fantasy football league and rooting for her favorite teams.
