Jose C. Garcia, Au.D., CCC-A

Jose Garcia earned his Doctorate of Audiology from Wichita State University. He specializes in hearing evaluations and fittings, children’s hearing testing, hearing aid services and cochlear implant testing and fitting. While in graduate school, Dr. Garcia completed a clinical rotation at Mid-Kansas ENT. He joined the practice in 2024.

Dr. Garcia completed his residency at Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, where he worked with a diverse patient population, including adults, children and infants, providing services such as vestibular and tinnitus testing and treatment. He has also earned his Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Garcia has a passion for the medical field as well as improving patient well-being. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population from all over the state, including Spanish-speaking patients, cochlear implant candidates, and veterans, which I love,” he said.

Dr. Garcia believes the price of hearing aids and the related financial concern is the biggest hurdle for audiology patients. “Although hearing aids are expensive, they are an investment that will significantly improve the quality of life of each patient we get the opportunity to work with,” he said.

According to Dr. Garcia, the best way for patients to keep up with the latest in audiology is to continue care with their provider. “Once the patient is established and over the adjustment period, a 5- or 6-month appointment will be scheduled,” he said. “That is when the patient can be counseled appropriately regarding improvements and technological advancements.”

Outside of his practice, Dr. Garcia enjoys spending time with his wife, Gina, and children, Adriel and Gianna. He also serves as an Army Officer in the Kansas National Guard.

“My goal as a provider is to always provide the best care to my patients, no matter their socio-economic status.”
