Chelsea Peyton, Au.D.

Audiologist Chelsea Peyton joined Mid-Kansas ENT in 2018. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Doctorate of Audiology from Wichita State University.

As an undergrad studying speech pathology, Dr. Peyton had a background in music and special education through music therapy. “I was originally working on programming hearing aids to instruments for musicians,” she said. Her clinical professor noticed her analytical side and suggested she pursue audiology to study auditory processing disorders. “I’m a problem solver,” said Dr. Peyton, who was a patient at Mid-Kansas ENT before working here. “I enjoy being able to figure out how to help patients and solve their issues.”

She enjoys the fast pace of working with patients, the other physicians and providers. During a typical day, she helps patients with hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations and fittings, and tinnitus evaluations.

“We’re here to ease the hearing aid process and make it enjoyable,” said Dr. Peyton. “We want patients to feel that hearing aids are an accomplishment in their hearing healthcare.”

Dr. Peyton is devoted to actively serving the Wichita community, both through her personable approach to patient care at our clinic, as well as by volunteering for several local organizations.

Dr. Peyton was born and raised in Wichita. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, three children and Great Dane. She also loves to crochet and eat her husband’s homecooked meals.

“My goal is to listen to the patient’s concerns and tailor my approach for them. I try to think outside of the box, regardless of the test result, and be an advocate for each patient so they feel heard.”
